Biathlon Yukon AGM
Biathlon Yukon will be holding its Annual General Meeting on Thursday, May 28 @ 7pm at the new Biathlon Building on Grey Mt. Road. All are welcome to attend.
Come and hear about the successes of the past year, and stay after the meeting to hear about what is coming up in the next season.
If you are interested in joining our active, productive, and engaged Board of Directors please reach out with your questions or to talk more about what the role entails. We are actively looking for someone to take on the Treasurer Role for the coming season.

Flatwater North Icebreaker Race
A scenic, beginner friendly 28.5 or 7km race. 9:30 am meeting at the Schwatka Lake Day Use Area, located on the Chadburn Lake road, for a pre-race meeting. There will be shuttle operating to get those competing in the 28.5 km race to the start at Marsh Lake for an 11am race start.
Event 1: 28.5 km
An intense and scenic 28.5 km race from Marsh Lake back to Schwatka Lake Day Use Area. Offers a "seasoned beginner" experience, often requiring navigation around low-water, snag-filled sections. The destination--Schwatka Lake Day Use Area

Starts from Schwatka Lake Day Use to Whitehorse Generating facility. Easy, short race for beginners!

Midnight Sun Regatta
Join us for Flatwater North’s inaugural Midnight Regatta!
A brand new event of sprint canoe, kayak, SUP, and mixed-boat races under the Yukon sky! Open to all age groups (youth to elders)
Racers will experience:
Sprint races across multiple distances (100 m, 200 m, 500 m, 1000 m)
Team relays including Relays and mixed-boat relays
Feature showdowns like Dragon Boat vs War Canoe and Paddleboard Glow Sprints
Nighttime “Midnight Dash” races with glowing course markers for a spectacular experience

Kluane Chilkat Bike Relay
The Kluane Chilkat International Bike Relay (KCIBR) is excited to announce that registration for the 2026 race has officially opened on March 13, 2026. This iconic event sees up to 1,200 cyclists take on the breathtaking 238 km route from Haines Junction, Yukon, to Haines, Alaska, through some of the most spectacular scenery in North America.
KCIBR continues to bring together riders of all ages and abilities to celebrate endurance, teamwork, and community spirit. From competitive teams chasing podium finishes to groups riding for the experience and camaraderie, the relay offers something for everyone. The event remains committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all participants.

Raven 50 Mile Ultra & Relay
The 2026 Raven 50 Mile Ultra & Relay will be held on July 4, 2026.
With beautiful single track trails and quad roads, 3 ridges, 2 peaks, more than 3000m of elevation gain, water crossings and fun switchbacks, you’ll be sure to experience the unique landscapes that shape the Yukon.
With a start close to downtown Whitehorse, complete facilities at the start and finish, 7 aid stations and checkpoints and delicious catered food, you don’t want to miss the ultra!

Tennis Northern Cup
The Northern Cup is an annual tennis tournament where players from Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Alaska compete for regional bragging rights.
All individuals from the Yukon, NWT, and Alaska will compete against each other. Game scores count toward a running total for your territory/state, and the leading team takes home the cup. Plus, every participant is guaranteed two scheduled matches.
Award Ceremony and Dinner is Included!
Match results contribute to a running territorial score, and the region with the highest total wins the cup.

Yukon River Trail Marathon
The Yukon River Trail Marathon has been running strong for over 25 years! Join them for the 2026 race on August 2, 2026 in beautiful Whitehorse, Yukon. The course starts on the Millennium Trail, then travels on single-track to Kwanlin (Miles Canyon) and Canyon City, continues on the Yukon River trail towards Chadburn Lake, follows the beautiful trails along Chadden Lake, Schwatka Lake, and Hidden Lakes to end up near the Whitehorse dam where runners return to the Millennium Trail, and run next to the Yukon river to the finish area.

Yukon Fat Tire Fever
Yukon Fat Tire Fever is a new-style of cross-country marathon mountain bike event that's focused on fun! Ride solo or as a 2-person team.
Instead of timing riders from start to finish, we time just a few surprise segments — uphills and downhills. You won't know where they are until the day of the event.

Introducing a one weekend season extension: SPRING PARK!
This is a one weekend event, May 9-10 11am-3pm on Bunny Hill. All skill levels are welcome for this progressive park!
Please keep in mind there’ll be no kitchen menu and no rentals. The Last Run Lounge will be open to purchase tickets, drinks, and snacks!

Athletics Yukon Crocus Run
This run starts at the Linda Rapp Building at the Robert Service Campground.
Parking is available at the campground or at the ball diamonds across the street.
The run will leave the campground and head towards the Rotary Centennial footbridge and proceeds onto the trail system. Once on the trail system you run along the ridge trails overlooking Riverdale and all the spring crocus’. You exit the trails to run a short distance on Grey Mountain Road before you return to the trails system until you exit by the education building. At this point you continue across Alsek and back onto the millennium trail to the finish. Group run starts at 11am.

2026 YFGA Outdoor Expo
The YFGA is excited to announce the inaugural 2026 YFGA Outdoor Expo, taking place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Canada Games Centre - ATCO Ice in Whitehorse, Yukon. Early access for Elders will begin at 8:30 AM. Best of all, this is a free event for everyone to attend.
This large-scale community event will bring together Yukoners and visitors for a full day of hands-on, interactive experiences for all ages. It is a great opportunity to connect with Yukon and Alaska’s outdoor community, with 50+vendors from across the region.
Visitors can explore hunting, fishing, outdoor recreation, conservation, and Yukon-based research - all in one place. The day will feature live demonstrations, presentations, hands-on workshops, outdoor skills development, safety education, responsible outdoor practices, and interactive activities for youth and families.
There will also be over $3,000 in door prizes, CKRW live on location throughout the event, and the featured 2026 Toyota Tacoma on site as part of the YFGA Youth Outdoor Education Camp fundraising raffle.

RBC Training Ground - Whitehorse
RBC Training Ground returns to the Yukon for the first time since 2019!
RBC, the Canadian Olympic Committee, and Canadian Olympic Foundation partnered in 2016 to launch RBC Training Ground – a series of regional qualifying events designed to help find and fund athletes with Olympic potential.
At RBC Training Ground, athletes between the ages of 14 and 25 test their speed, strength, power, and endurance in front of National Sport Organization talent scouts and the Canadian Olympic Paralympic Sport Institute Network.
Results are then compared against high-performance benchmarks, and (up to) 35 athletes are selected to receive funding and support needed to pursue their Olympic dreams.

Run for Mom: Spring into Running Clinics
Guided training session will start March 31st and continue for the 6 weeks leading up to the Run for Mom event on Mother’s Day.Participants will be supported every step of the way.
Participants can choose one of three groups:
1. Race Walking
2. Walk/Run
3. Running
- Learn the proper body mechanics for running.
- Guest speakers will present on an array of topics like warm ups, stretching, nutrition,
safety, motivation and how to find running shoes and gear.
- Participants will receive a detailed training plan to follow for their self-guided runs outside of the guided training sessions.

EDI Hut to Hut 2026
The EDI Hut to Hut is a family-friendly event happening on the Mt McIntyre Trail Network. You can join the event by the Nordic ski trails or using snowshoes or fat-bike using the city single tracks trails. It is great event to meet new members of the Yukon Nordic family!
Each year, three different local organization host at each of the huts and provide hot beverage, snack and a fun activity for the family.

Pierre Harvey Cup 2026
The 4th Annual Pierre Harvey on Saturday, March 28th, 2026 is the final race of the newly created Boreal Cup Series!
This free technique race takes place on the legendary Pierre Harvey 5 km ski trail — get ready to climb the big hills and fly down to the finish. And don’t forget your step turns on a few corners… you’ll need it!
After the race, join us back at Blackwell Park Skating Rink in Raven’s Ridge for pizza and beverages while we celebrate and announce the BOREAL CUP 2026 CHAMPIONS !
