The Yukon Sports Hall of Fame inducts its first five honourees: Father Jean-Marie Mauchet, Bert Boyd, Art Fry, Bill Brewster, and Raymond Richard (Cal) Miller.

Sport Governing Bodies begin forming in the Yukon.

Sport Yukon Chefs Team Yukon at the Whitehorse Arctic Winter Games. These were the first Games attended by the Russian contingent.

Sport Yukon takes over as organizer of the Klondike Road Relay. The race was initially conceived and organized by the Klondike Visitors Association (now the Tourism Industry Association of the Yukon).

Sport Yukon moves into their brand new building at 4061 4th Avenue in Whitehorse.

The Kids Recreation Fund launches. Funded by the Government of Yukon and administered by Sport Yukon, the fund helps support families getting involved in sport, arts, and recreation.

During the COVID-19 global pandemic, Sport Yukon helped administer and deliver relief funds to Yukon sport organizations.

Sport Yukon launches its Digital Display Network with two screens (one at Sport Yukon and one at 3rd & Main in Whitehorse). The next year, a third screen was launched at the Canada Games Centre.
