How to Book

Individuals Paying For Travel:

On your marks... Submit your travel request using the application at the bottom of the page, including the event details and a list of the travellers. Applicants must be members in good standing with Sport Yukon.

... get set... The request will be reviewed by Sport Yukon. If approved, Sport Yukon will provide the details to Air North and contact the member to confirm.

... go! Once confirmed, the member is now ready to inform all of the travellers that they may contact Air North reservations at 1.800.661.0407 or (867) 668.2228 to complete their booking. The travellers will need to identify the event/ competition name and be present on the list provided by Sport Yukon

What if one person is paying for the group?

After receiving approval from the Sport Yukon Team. The member who is paying will contact Air North’s Groups Team at 1.800.661.0407 ext. 198 or (867) 668.2228 ext. 198 to pay for all of the travellers. The member will need to confirm the event/competition name and that the travellers are all identified on the list provided to Air North by Sport Yukon.

Sport Yukon processes Sport Fare applications twice per week (on Tuesday and Thursday). As soon as your request has been approved and confirmed by Air North, you will receive confirmation that your travellers can start booking their tickets.

  • Sport Yukon processes Sport Fare applications twice per week (on Tuesday and Thursday). As soon as your request has been approved and confirmed by Air North, you will receive confirmation that your travellers can start booking their tickets.

  • While from time to time you may see a seat sale fare that is cheaper than a Sport Yukon fare, the Sport Yukon fares offer some exclusive perks that make for a big advantage.

    This includes complementary change/cancellation fees (up to 7 days prior), excess baggage, seat selection, name changes (up to 24 hours prior) and no blackout dates.

    The Sport Yukon Fare also allows you to purchase only the number of segments required.

    Want to receive all of the benefits of the Sport Yukon fare? The only way to do so is to purchase that fare. It can’t be combined with any of our other fares.

  • Please note, this program does not guarantee your group a seat on the flight. Air North can accommodate groups up until 80% capacity with the Sport Rate.

    Advance purchase is recommended to ensure availability as seats and fares are limited. Last minute reservations may not qualify for Sport Yukon fares.

  • Complimentary (up to 4 items of excess baggage) No one piece shall exceed 70lbs. In cases of extreme congestion during peak travel periods, additional measures may need to be taken to guarantee baggage. Please coordinate excess baggage, fragile items, and high priority baggage with the reservations team in advance.

    PLEASE NOTE: bicycles, kay ks and canoes, have an additional baggage fee.

  • Date Changes are available up to seven days prior to travel, cancellations are permitted without fee or fare difference based upon availability.

    The travel dates must correspond to the dates provided by Sport Yukon and be within five days pre- or post-event.

    Route changes are not permitted

    Name changes are permitted within 24 hours of travel

  • Your name must be on the travellers list that is submitted to Air North in order to take advantage of this fare. If you are not on the list, please have your trip organizer re-submit the travellers list to info@sportyukon.com.

Before beginning the Air North Travel Fund application, please download and fill out the Travellers List Excel sheet.
You will need it to complete the application as you will upload directly to the form.

IF A NAME IS NOT ON THE TRAVELLERS LIST THAT PERSON WON'T BE ABLE TO BOOK A FLIGHT.
