Peggy Hanulik was inducted to the Hall of Fame for her significant contribution to figure skating.

Peggy began her skating career in 1950 at the age of 10 in Manitoba. From 1952 to 1954 she skated as a Canadian Figure Skating Association (C.F.S.A.) member with the Brandon skating club. She moved to Dawson City in 1965 and immediately became involved in the Yukon skating scene. She spent two years teaching the children of Dawson to skate and in 1967, moved to Whitehorse.

Peggy worked hard for the Whitehorse skating community. She initially became involved with the Whitehorse Skating Club and was later a founding member of the Fireweed Figure Skating Club. She worked in almost every capacity of skating, serving on various committees and boards, organizing summer schools, scheduling fees and ice time, arranging music and coordinating carnivals. As the Yukon's first qualified judge Peggy judged Yukon competitions for close to thirty years. Peggy also assisted with many Arctic Winter Games. She was a chaperone, organized trials and in 1992 coordinated the competition held in Whitehorse.

From 1983 to 1987 she was the Program Director and implemented the C.F.S.A. Canskate and Canfigure Skate programs in the Yukon. In recognition of her many accomplishments she received the 1985 Volunteer of the Month (City of Whitehorse), 1985 Volunteer of the Year (Sport Yukon) and 1993 Cariboo North Central Region B.C. Volunteer of the Year.
